Coach Kike’s Background
Hey there! My name is Kike Osorio, and I’m an aspiring Pro Triathlete and USAT coach. My brother Juancho was the first to get into triathlon, and he is the one that inspired me to give it a try. Quickly I became hooked on the challenge of mastering three sports at once! After years of hard work, dedication, and learning, my passion for coaching emerged. I’m all about understanding what makes athletes perform well and the incredible amount of data that goes beyond just physical achievements.
On top of my athletic pursuits, I’m also the Director of Music at a middle school and church in Texas. Teaching has always been my dream, and I’m excited to share my knowledge and expertise with others to help them avoid the mistakes that I made. But hey, this journey is never-ending, and I’m confident that I’ll learn just as much from my athletes as they’ll learn from me!
My ultimate goal is to be the best version of myself as an athlete & coach. I’ve had some great success in Texas, winning several triathlons like the Woodlands Triathlon and the Waco Sprint Triathlon. Recently, I even won my first overall in the half marathon distance at the San Marcos Half Marathon! I’ve also competed and won some amateur bike races, including the La Primavera Lago Vista Race and the Texas State Championship Time Trials. I have also got onto podiums at Ironman 70.3 races, and I recently achieved the fastest bike split in my last race!
These accomplishments are just a small glimpse into my journey as a triathlete. But what really fills me with pride is the person I’ve become and all the sacrifices I’ve made to keep improving my skills and staying dedicated to the sport. As I always say, the best is yet to come, we just gotta trust the process!
